stock temperature gauge


Ya I have had this problem for some time now but I dnt know wat can be wrong my temperature gauge in my cluster don't work at all the needle stays under the c and doesn't move at all I replaced the temperature sensor but still nothing do u guys have any advice wat I can do

Are they stock guages? If it had aftermarket guages it is possible the needle was put on to far and is stuck in that position. Other than that I'd check the circuitry going across the back of the guage pod to check for a crack or break in it.

stock gauges are inaccurate at best

well its the stock gauge and has never had any aftermarket gauges install the stock gauge was workin before i had my gauges put in but since then it hasnt worked

so you replaced the sending unit? maybe it doesnt work with the factory gauge? unless i misunderstood you

i replaced the water temperature sensor but it didnt help the needle still didnt move

sounds like either the wiring or the gauge itself. id just route in an aftermarket cluster if you can, stock gauges are usually always off anyway, but as far as the need not moving at all idk like i said wiring or gauge, there cant be much else that can go wrong, unless the sending unit you put in there is bad which is possible

just test the wires and gauge first, the the unit, im not sure exactly how you would go about doing it, but thats where id start

you could check the thermostat to see if its stuck shut. if coolant isnt flowing past it your temperture wont read. that would also mean your probobly overheating

Well its not the thermostat cuz I just replaced it and I never had problems with it.
