how to replace a wheel stud


What all is required to replace a wheel stud? It looks like I have to pull the caliper off, the rotor off, and then replace it.. or can i get away with out doing that?

EDIT: NEVERMIND i just pounded the old one out, and slid the new one in

I was going to say most of the time you can do it on the car its not to bad...

Front or rear?
If its the front, I'd just spend the 60 bucks and buy a new hub. The bearings often go bad well before 100k miles anyway, and it comes with studs installed.

Takes about 30 min. to change.

Just my opinion.
