Hi-flow cat. converters: Emission test problem?


i want to get a pypes catted x pipe with high flow cats. will it pass New York State emissions testing? they use the sniffer for the exhaust :

It should pass. I would double check with them to make sure the cats are "50 state legal". If they are, your good.

If you have trouble, just lean it out and heat her up and it should pass.

The pypes exhaust is the cheapest for a reason. I mean it works and is not too hard to bolt up but it's a real bitch to get sealed up right. I finally got mine to stop leaking and my rear tips are all out of wack now. I'm gonna have to go back under it and loosen the pipes at the axle and adjust them.

I plan on removing mine and getting a true one piece x pipe. The pypes kit just has too many joints and the bands they give you are crap.
