Sorry about the wreck. We've rebuilt lots of wrecked vehicles and the first thing I would do is strip off the bent parts and take it to a frame shop. They can tell you if it's bent and straighten it if it is. Probably $500-$1000 to straighten. If you can do the work yourself, paint bodywork etc. I would fix it. It's not really that bad once you get all the parts off of it. There are lots of places that sell aftermarket body parts at a fraction of the original price. They aren't as high quality as the original, but that's what a body shop would put on if you took it there. I would check the frame, hang the new parts bare so you can adjust them without worrying about the paint, take it apart to paint it, reinstall and you're good to go. Good luck.

That car is done. I recked an 841/2 mustang gt 350 and had way less damage than that and it was totaled. The frame is deffinatly damaged. Your best bet would be to save your parts and put them on your next car, or just sell them and buy a newer mustang.

Oh, and by the way, if you decide not to fix the car, you should take the engine out of your Cobra and make a fast ass go-kart.

lol yeah right! I'm keeping this car for life. I am planning on rebuilding it myself. I've found that I will save ALOT of money by doing this. I am going to rip all of the bent up and broken shit and torch off the front core support and take off the front fenders. Then, I'll take it to a frame shop and have them fix the frame. It is bent, but nothing extremely bad. It's the inner fenders that took the damage. I'll have them fix these pieces, too. I can't repaint, so I'll have a paint shop do that. So except on the car frame and the core support and the inner fender crinks, I'm planning on dong all myself.

I wish I could, but in this case, money is a definite issue.

good idea... keep the car. As time passes I think you'll find having a project car is the best hobby anyone could possibly have... I only hope you have another mode of transportation in the mean time

Is there such a thing as doing a resto-mod on a car that's only as old as 9 years? Well that I don't know but do you plan on restoring the car to stock condition or do you plan (budget allowing of course) to turn it into a little somethin special?

Just like any other parent, they weren't happy. I thought my dad was going to kill me, but he just didn't talk to me for about two days. That's almost worse than getting ripped out...

True, but I bought the car myself. And I've been broke ever since then, but it's definitely worth it.
