clutch problem and rear end


when i step on my clutch i hear a rattling sound dont know what it is do ya know??? and when i go over 40mph my rear end has a whining noise my cuz said i need to tighten the lock is he rite???help me!!!

The clutch thing may be a bad throw out bearing, cheap fix but you have to pull the tranny out. The rear end may be winding becasue you may have an after marker gear in the rear and they do wine sometimes.

The rattle noise is a bad throwout bearing. They go bad all the time.

The noise could either be bad bearings, or gears. Or like he said aftermarket gears.

what kind of gears should i get for my 97 mustang gt (manual) 4.10 or 3.73 i dont know???

Gear ratio has nothing to do with engine displacement.
