I have used brake clean in the past, It works well. Its a bit nasty though, so I might try something different. My main issue is the dirt and grime, I don't want it to find its way into the motor.

On a side note. I have a set of PI heads that have been sitting around for about 2 years. Any tips on cleaning it out and making sure its good to go?

When we cleaned out stuff in our hydroplane we used karosene( probably totally wrong spelling). It was great, but not sure where I'd get any, and if that is really a good idea for the air pathways.

hmmm...can't help you there. if it were ME i'd have them ported/polished and the works at a machine shop....but that can set you back lol.

i guess some sort of engine degreaser should work, just make sure it dries and stuff before lubin the cams and valves and whatnot. is there some sort of surface coating in the pathways? if so...

I am going to try the write up when I get off work with the simple green and then F21. I scrubbed the engine last night since I cant drive it and I am waiting for my new procharger D1 head unit to arrive. You can use an old toothbrush or your ex girlfriends toothbrush she left at your house like I did!..lmfao
