Cleaning Engine Parts - Help
Hey Guys,
Just got a bunch of the parts I need to put the little lady back together. I have a bunch of stuff that I just kind of tossed to the side when I pulled it all apart. Stuff like my clutch pressure plate bolts and the timing chain cover. Anyone have any tips on how to clean them? I know I should have taken better care when I pulled them out, but I just need to know a good way to clean em off. Bath of oil, degreaser or what. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

carburator cleaner, brake parts cleaner. Or you can scrub them with some degreaser.

Simple Green comes in handy depending on the job.
I normally use carb cleaner...

or go to tractor supply and they sell parts cleaner solvent, i have a dirty old sink that i fill with it and scrub parts in, really powerful, but kinda pricey, brake clean will probably do just as well and cheaper, but if you get the parts cleaner solvent make sure you wear gloves.

Brake-Kleen also gets my vote. But you can get the bobo brand Purple Power (aka Super Clean) at Wal-mart and it does the same thing. (2.50 gallon) Just my .02 worth.
