Mods..

Hey, I have a 96 gt with some messed up O2 sensors. I'm getting them fixed, but it makes me wonder whether or not eventually adding forced induction someday, or some other heavy mod wouldn't just set off the O2 sensors and make the check engine come back on. In that case the check engine let would never go away, and I might not be abel to get a sticker.. Supposidly one of those handheld tuners wont even shut the O2 sensors off..

that's what mil eliminators are for.

02's are easy to fix.

while your down there why don't you get a wide band 02 instead of the narrow band?

and another thing.. what about the MAF? Is there a way to modify that or something? Sorry if I sound stupid, but I don't really know much about all of these sensors and shit.

I'm not so sure about the MAF, but the O2 sensors can be shut off with a handheld tuner. That's what I did with mine.

A tuner, or better yet a dyno tune!

yeah, and it's really not as hard as u think it is. On a dyno, someone does all the work, you just pay for it. With a handheld tuner, you just change a setting. You really don't have to know too much about your car to do it. It's nothing complicated.
