Now was this new mass air tuned? If not thats your issue right there. The tuner would help you out aslong as you can get a tune for your new 80mm mass air.

First how do you know its running lean?

Also check for vacum leaks. Use your hands and look around for leaks around the work you just did. Thos modes should of cause you to run lean. Maybe somethings lose and its sucking in air and bypassing your maf...which causes you to run lean.

With a tuner you can add some fuel to your mixture.

Ok so check for vacum leaks, its the cheapest alternative. You really shouldnt have any MAF problems if it worked before. Which leads me to believe its a vacuum leak.

You can tune your MAF meter. You can will probobly need a tune emailed to you or have your car dyno tuned if you want to go that far. But i think if yours ran great then you dont need any of that

just getting a cold air kit and a new catback will require a tune. a dyno tune is your best bet

What? No it dosnt!

Also correction to my last post. You can tune your ECU to compensate for the MAF. You need special equipment to tune them

Sure can, but check with your tuner before you order it, they might use the SCT, and that'd suck to buy a tuner you don't need lol.

naw I was reading about this in like Popular Mechanics. the computer on the car tested could handle a cold air, or exhaust, but when both were put on the computer needed slight adjustment to MAXIMIZE the increase in flowrate. In otherwords, the computer had to be tuned to fully utilize them correctly. I mean, we're talking gains of like 5 hp anyways...

Steel you dont want the cheapest tuner. Its one of those things that you dont want to skimp on.

Getting a bad tune can blow your engine... so just get a nice one like diablo or SCT.

Before you go out spending all this money. Try cleaning your MAF sensor. the can cost 6 bux at auto zone. its says Mass Airflow cleaner. Then check all your hoses. Really a tune/tuner is a little far for your mods.
