Nitrous Bottle

So I am going to go look a nitrous bottle tonight to hopefully buy. Its used, so is there anything I need to look for to make sure it is ok. I'm new to nitrous. So all input is helpful

its pretty straight forward, check the overall integridy of the bottle. Its mainly that valve, make sure it closes tight and opens.

Here is the tank I bought last night. It is a 10lb tank next to a little old one that I had and never used.

I am thinking of sanding it down and repainting it and buying a new sticker off ebay. Is that a good idea? I don't want to run into any problems when I go to fill it. I figured they would like it better that way to make it look newer

It is little known, but bottles do have a date of build on them. Some nitrous fill stations won't (or are not supposed to) fill them once they reach a certain age. You may want to look into that.

With that bieng said, Ive only had one shop give me an issue with a bottle that was bought new in 98 (has a 97 date on it).

I was doing some research and it looks like you have to have them checked every 10 years I think... looks like it is around $20 to have done
