its pretty straight forward, check the overall integridy of the bottle. Its mainly that valve, make sure it closes tight and opens.

Here is the tank I bought last night. It is a 10lb tank next to a little old one that I had and never used.
![]() I am thinking of sanding it down and repainting it and buying a new sticker off ebay. Is that a good idea? I don't want to run into any problems when I go to fill it. I figured they would like it better that way to make it look newer |

It is little known, but bottles do have a date of build on them. Some nitrous fill stations won't (or are not supposed to) fill them once they reach a certain age. You may want to look into that.
With that bieng said, Ive only had one shop give me an issue with a bottle that was bought new in 98 (has a 97 date on it).

I was doing some research and it looks like you have to have them checked every 10 years I think... looks like it is around $20 to have done
