Whatever the local dyno tuner in your area uses is what you need. At the dyno tuning stage there the exact same thing. With preloaded/canned tunes id go with the livewire though. Cause they have the cool screen thing.

You wont see a differance in horsepower...

Well when it comes to custom tuning its accualy up to your tuner. The device is just the tool at that point.

why would u need to get the same as the local shop? If i just get the diablo tuner and do 93 octane tune and leave it would it be fine?

No.

The reason you get the same as the shop is that theres alot more then tuning just the octane.

Having the same as your tuner allows them to custom tune your car on the dyno. It allows them to make a tune for YOUR car, not a universal one for everyone but one tailored for YOU. When you get into s/c turbo nitrous stuff your going to need to redo your fuel curves and stuff. The shop can do all that with ease. They just need a tuner (they can flash the tuner with there tune and with that you flash your car).

Aslong as your running 93 octane gas your fine.

With your mods you have now the canned tunes are perfect for you. Im just giving you a heads up for the long term.

Though if you go down the road and find everywere does SCT stuff just use craigslist and sell off your old tuner and buy a SCT tuner. No biggie

i have the diablo tuner i like it so far, running the 93 tune myself notice a crisper acceleration. Slight power in the upper rpms. Like the options it has 02 shutoff trans pressure/shift firmness etc...

Solid cant you buy it new for like 370? AM's come with free tunes for life.
SCT SF3 Power Flash Mustang Strategy Tuner (96-09) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

See what I mean? Spending a little more helps you in the long run. So with the one from AM, theyll give you a new tune to help you get the most out of your parts...every time you get a new part.

If its locked its useless to you. Dont buy it

Your better off getting one brand new. So you can use AMs free tunes.
Also I cant find a diablo either for you.

What kind of tuner is it?

Also heres how it works.

Select the car/year/motor
Select the tune.
Turn car to the on position, DO NOT START
tuner does its thing
It will say complete
Turn car off and unplug the tuner

How tuners work is they reflash your ECU. They change all the base variables your car works on so that you car makes more power.

This is the reason why if anyone tells you they got a new ECU for your mustang....laugh at them. Cause you dont need to do that and most likely there lying. haha
