manual tranny swap

im going to do a manual trans swap, i already have the auto out and flywheel.
theres someone selling a tranny from a 00 with 62k for 300 bucks i can get the pcm, clutch pedal assembly flywheel etc for 100 more so 400 bucks is a hell of a deal its got a 3month guarantee. So my question is will a 00 work cause i do believe something with the odometer cable is electronic in those years??? what would i have to do to make it work? hate to pass a deal like this.

it will work. the speedo will be all f'd up but it will work. there is a thread on this somewere ill try to find it.

not absolutely sure but i think the speedo is a smiple switch out.
happens with a lot of tranny swaps.

EDIT : but ask around though im sure there are people on here that know.
