Alright, WELLLLLL I really hope thats whats up. It has been running REAL rich too. In the twelve miles I've driven I've watched that gauge drop almost an 1/4 tank (that includes about 10 minutes idle though too).

Would that be an extremely notice able lack of power from it?

oh hell yeah i had a camaro that lost the exhaust manifold doughnut gasket once while i was driving and i could barely pull a hill so yeah with those big headers and that leak not sealed your computer is probably getting all thrown off.
with that kind of gas mileage i would fix the exhaust up nice and tight and see how she is
no problem keep us updated!

If you are not getting a full 12v your computer is also not getting the required voltage to work properly, it works off of a 5volt reference but the alternator has to supply voltage to all the other accessories so you might want to take care of your voltage problem first. I ran my car with open headers and yeah it runs rich but not bad to where it loses power. Low voltage, weak ignition, low power, not enough spark to burn fuel in combustion chamber, therefore unburned fuel, popping exhaust and your spark plugs get ashy.
Also forgot to mention, with the higher compression regap your spark plugs to 35 or 40. I had mine gapped to .54" and car ran like crap, finally found one of my coils was bad after ohming it out with a meter, got some screaming demon coils, taylor wire, gapped plugs to 35 and car ran strong with 93 octane! I use 87 daily.
