good job bro, one step further.

I extended the harness and tapped into the other Temp sensor tonight. I also Welded up my exhaust. I need to clean that up a bit tomorrow.

But at idle and below 2500 RPMs I have no misfires. But once I get on it... it bogs down. So I'm Slowly but surely getting there.

Oh and I've still got that stupid alternator issue.

no sir. Any Idea what would cause me to have misfires when getting on the car? Rather than all the time.

Bad plug wires or bad connection to plugs. Basically it amps up the voltage and your plugs can't hold it, so your spark gets blown out. Had it happen to me, only when I was flooring it and it was loaded.

Regap your plugs to 35 or 40 the highcompression blows the spark. Even with my screamin demon coils and taylor wires had the problem, regapped the plugs and 1yr later still running good.

Interesting... I may give that a shot later, after I fix this starter issue. Ill let you know how that goes.

You were having issues with it bogging down when you got on it?

If I had to do it again, I would drop the k member and switch it out for a new tubular one at the same time. Two birds with one stone, and faster I would assume.

Dropping them through the bay was a bitch. Im not going to lie.

Yeah I would step on it and would bogg down and would backfire and would also run like crap. Replaced my coil packs and wires. Then regapped the plugs and ran even better.

Cool, maybe I'll close that gap up when I get her running again. What made you decided to try that specific gap (.035) compared the norm (.054)? I know you said it's because of the higher Compression Ratio, but I was ust curious where the new measurement came from. (I'm not doubting you, just trying to educate myself a little more.)

Oh and reps for the suggestion.

Thanks, the .035" I just set it at that since turbo and nitrous cars run 032" I just tried .035" also .040" is what my dad use to set the gap on the old high compression Mopar motors.

well i wouldnt call 10.1:1 compression that high. and its definately not boosted or n20'd...so i'd say like .45" if anything..

Stock calls for between .052"-.056". Thats in the Haynes Manual, and (supposedly) Under the hood on a sticker somewhere. My current plugs came with a .058" -.060" gap. I regapped to the .054"

.42 is fuckin huge! Almost a half inch gap. Got a wicked ignition system huh? jk.

I knew there was supposed to be another 0 in there. Oh well.

But yeah, I do. Boost a spark FTW!

I only turn it up to about 50% of the max which is like 25% more voltage or something like that.
