Oil Filter Housing

I have a 98GT. Is there a way to get the oil filter housing back on with the motor in the car? I cannot, for the life of me, get to that back bolt.

Yes, I've done it. I had to replace the gasket between the housing and the block. Let me tell you... it was a bitch. Took like 6 hours.

Good luck man..

You have to unscrew the center part where the filter screws in it is a hex socket.

mine had an oil cooler, his probably does too. Mine was cracked and leaking oil into the coolant, I just got a regular filter housing and sealed it real good, no problems ever since.
