fuel pump keeps shutting off

My Car Keep Shutting Off Every Minute Non Stop. I Can Turn The Key On And Off And It Turns Back On I Put It In The Shop And They Put A New Fuel Pump And Filter On And It Still Kept Doing It They Said They Have Tried Everything And Cant Figure It Out. They Think That The Computer Is Bad On The Car. Any Ideas On What I Should Try Or Do?

English doesnt require you to capitalize every word!

I couldn't read it though honestly, hurt my eyes.

Does it have an alarm system with an engine kill in it? I had a similar problem a long time ago with my 87 Gt. The previous owner had installed an alarm with a kill switch in it and it malfunctioned. I had to pull out the alarm for it to start working again.

I do not know if it has one or not. I bought it a week ago and can't get in touch with him. It ran good for about the first 45 minutes when i bought it then I got gas and every since after that about every minute it shuts off on me. They tested the fuel pump and it was bad so I had a new fuel pump put on it. It still does it. It will die then I turn the key off and back on and the only light that does come on in the dash is the theft light.

if you have stock fuel rails, there is a port you can hook a guage to and check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail....you should have about 20-30 psi with the key turned on, and the pressure should stay there until 15-30 min after you turn the key off. if you dont have pressure or the pressure fluxuates, the fuel pump is no good or you filter or the fuel lines are blocked, could also be the sending unit on the fuel pump. also check your inersia switch in the trunk.

Could it be a bad connection somewhere? Maybe an electrical short?

Look at the passive anti theft system i.e. PATS. I'm having similar troubles with mine, but i found it to be a butchered wiring problem from the previous owner. Also look at the CCRM or computer relay module. Thats where the fuel and a/c relay are run from. It's under the pass fender well, up and towards the front. If your A/C doesnt come on and all the fuses are good , it might be the problem. 85.00 at advance.

Alright well they tried to see if the computer was bad on my car and i told them to check the alarm sytem on it and they said they did and that they still can not figure out what is wrong with it. Does these keys supposed to have a chip in them because mine does not have one? Would that cause the fuel pump to shut off every minute?

Ill be driving down the road whether im doing 70 or 25 its is about every min the car starts shiftign down and then dies. I put t in the shop and they said the fuel pump was bad on it so i had a new one put in and a new fuel filter. They said it is still doing it and that something is telling the fuel pump to shut off. It will also do it when it is idling. It does 4 sets of 5 beeps also before it does it but they told me that the beeps were because it does not have a passenger air bag.

Yes, if the chip in the key is missing, then the car will not start. Thats over a hundred to replace I think.

Alright a quick update. I just called the shop where it is at and they said that the car will stay running on carburator cleaner but as soon as you stop the spray it dies. Any ideas now. I really appreciate everyone trying to help me cause I have no clue about these cars. I just bought it a couple weeks ago

exactly what mine did. the sensor is located lower front of the motor, pass side about 7:00. behind the crank pulley, attached to the block. The wire snakes down there from topside around/behind the alternator. your shop should have this info on alldata. I found a Ford service manual for a 98 mustang on ebay for 10 bucks. If you're going to keep it, I'd start looking for one. p.s. my extra key is just metal too, and it used to work just fine..haven't tried it lately as i'm still repairing the cut wiring at my leisure

had that happen before and the fuel pressure regulator was bad
got a fuel rail from a 97 with the removable regulator
any new news on the car yet?
