Do these pistons look good ?


Ok I am not familiar with what pistons should look like, but these are supposed to be forged probe pistons .30 with 17k miles on them. Do they look good to you the guy is wanting 200.00 for the pistons, and forged H-beam EAGLE rods with 3/8 arp bolts. Good deal or no ?

I scaled this image down a bit I will attach the full pic he sent me. It does seem like a really good price but one of the rods has a cracked wrist pin if that's all that's wrong with them from what I have researched it would be a great deal, correct me if I am wrong though. they look usable but definately need to be cleaned up if you do plan on re-using them, but if it were me i would get new ones

yeah I wouldnt use those look at the side of it towards the bottom of the picture. There are like 2 streaks that look like deep scratches in it. You would be better off doing what dustang said and just buy some new ones

Expensive fix if a used piston gives up after the rebuild.

I never used them before but have heard alot of negative comments about probe.
