Wide tires on 18" rims?

alright idk who is running what...but i have the winter beaters on right now, the 17X9 cobra R's with 275's...and well those are cool and all for the winter..i am not getting my saleens back any time soon, so im looking into a set of either silver or anthracite fr500's. 18X9/18X10(DD)..now i see the typical is a think 285/40s? anyone riding with something wider? what can i fit under there? maybe a 305/35? or can i fit 315s? im not going to roll the fender lip..but i could "message" the inner wheel well if necessary! also any pictures would help!

I run 285 35 18 and i rub, but that is because i have 1" spacers, without the spacers i have plenty of clearance, i need to get my fenders rolled

Personally i hate the tucked look, even with 10" rims its still tucked in too far, as soon as i get the fenders rolled ill be fine.

+1, I thought I could lose the spacers with the 10.5's but it still looked a little tucked, its perfect with the 1 inch spacers.

WHY in gods name would you want your tires to stick out from underneath your car? That looks freaking ridiculous and makes me want to stab something............

I recently purchased the BF Goodrich G-force KDW2's
Front:275/40, and I got them for 99.00 a piece at tire rack.com I "think"
Anyways I love them, they have twice as much tread as the old eBay cheapo
tires that were on the car when I bought it.
