Cost of PI Motor

Hey,

Just curious what a 99 + Mustang motor complete usually runs. How about a Cobra motor complete?

Thanks.

around where i live..i cant find a 99-04 pi motor for anything less than $1000..not installed.
but thats out of mustangs..you might be able to find one out of a police interceptor for less 700-800 complete

cobra motors..um well a 96-01 cobra motors can still run over 2k complete...03/04 cobra's looking about 5k plus all day..

you can find 4v's though in mark8's from 93-98. all you need is a mustang oil pan and a cobra intake or 03/04 cobra blower, but the mark 8's dont have forged bottom ends like cobra's..

in my opinion..best bang for your buck is a police interceptor pi motor, even though we all know how well treated taxi cabs and police car's are taken care of. or if your npi motor is lower mileage..power wise you can benifit from the extra compression the pi swap gives you..but if you have any kind of miles..full pi swap may be your best bet

Why? Same engine as in any Crown Vic/Town Car/Grand Marquis. Likely has just been abused more.

They may get run a little harder but they are maintained much better than a civilian owned Crown vic. I have one in my car and it runs awsome.

I have a 62K mile PI motor out of an 01 GT for sale. $600 picked up without front accessories. For a little more I could include the alt, p/s pump, and a/c compressor.
