Im not trying to start anything but I have a 98gt with 3.73's, and a bunch of bolt ons and I have an 04 srt4. THe NEON is stage 0 with a CAI and The only time I ran at the track I hit 13.89 and 13.93 both at 100. The Mustang wont keep up with the Neon at all but It will eventually(Its a work in progress).

The best chance you have at beating him is from a dead stop. The Neon sucks at launching and is very inconsistent on street tires and stock clutch and suffer from from severe Wheel Hop But is a fun car to drive.

I have a 96 GT with intake exhaust, steeda pullies, and iridium plugs and wires...that dont help much but i thought i would put it down.

And yes some of you will just be like go and do it, welll there is snow down and i cant really run in snow....its clearing up but then it comes right back down...its been ight for a couple days but...you never know lol
My Stage 1 SRT4 could hang with the local 96-97-ish Cobras (not sure of mods) until about 110MPH, then I would slowly pull away - had it up to 153 MPH once so yes, they can move. Also took a couple 350Zs, a 90-ish 5.0 easily & the old guy in his Carrera 4 'vert was irritated when he couldn't catch me.
SRT4s shouldn't be immediately dismissed, but they aren't the "end-all" of quick cars, especially recently. When they were introduced, they were quite worthy. Now, so many newer cars are as quick or quicker.
Stage 0 (or stock) SRT4s are quick, but any SRT4 is difficult to launch correctly from a stop. Plus, many SRT4 owners are young & inexperienced so their driving "skills" are lacking.
Stage 2 don't really do much more than a Stage 1 with exhaust & intake. Stage 3s are the ones to watch out for.

one of my soldiers has one and its completely stock with the exception of exhaust. We raced and i tore him a new one. look at my mods below....i got him off the line and he caught up but never got closer then 1 car length. I know its not tearing him a new one, but it felt good!
