PI Heads

I am looking at putting my newly ported with stage 3 cams into my 98gt but was wondering how hard the swap is with not pulling the motor and if any one could send are give me a link to a sight that I can get the cam gear holder so I do not have to retime the hole thing.

Timing isnt that hard and you have to take the front cover off to get the head off anyways. I did it with the engine in the car and didnt have any problems.

Wait, do you have these aftermaket cams in a set of PI heads that are going on your NPI motor?

Or are you PI swapped and just want to swap your cams now?

edit:
I just looked at your garage, no reference to PI heads.... soooo

Yea, youll have to pull the front cover and timing components to do this. Dont worry about the extra tool. That would be nice if you were just putting in cams, but thats not the case. It would be a waste of money, timing these things are easy.

What would you say i would gain out of the full swap i have the intake on there atm just not the heads with the cams i want. I figur i would at least get 60-70hp is that about right? The flow is supost to be something like 285 after ported that is what they stated at least is that about right?

You should really check valve to piston clearance with those cams and flat top pistons.

Supposedly you should pick up a nother ~40 by use of stock PI heads/cams. I have no idea what effect your "stage 3" cams will do.

who makes the cam?

stick a breaker bar on the front crank pulley and turn it around at least 4 times and if you hear your valves getting broken then you got a problem lol
