what should be done?
i'm dropping my gt off to be fitted w/my pi heads and intake w/com cams i will be adding 42 lb injectors and a 90mm mam to the mix. ultimately i was going to add a snow performance water/meth kit but i'm a little bit short and don't waunt to be surprised if i need something else (which almost always happens). so i waunt to check with the forum to see if anyone would know what else i might have to do. for example; should i do new timing chains while there right there 98k miles on the car?? should i do the headers (shortys) while there off? i realy do have enough for the water meth kit but would it be more logical to just do the timing chanes and headers and maybe down the road put in the water/meth kit? i just don't waunt to do things twice. any advise would be great and will help me make the right decision and any thing else i may need to replace while it's open?
thanks.

It's up to you. Iv'e never heard of an instance of the stock timing chains failing. You can replace them if it worries you though, like you said it would be the best time to do it. The shorties will help get the extra air out of the motor that you are about to introduce.
Both are good ideas. I don't know anything about the water/meth thing but if it's something you really want then i'd say go for it instead. I really think your stock chains will be fine and shorties aren't going to give you any more power to the ground, just make your exhaust flow more efficiently.

i wouldnt run the water/meth kit unless your using a turbo/supercharger or nitous...now if you do have an added boost(ie. turbo) i would definitly finish up the exhaust, cause a better flowing engine is a better running engine. your timing chains should be good, if you replace the sprockets its always a good idea to replace the chains also, otherwise it can cause premature wear on the sprockets and chains.

yea, i'm running 11 lbs on my supercharger w/out a cooler so thats why i was going to go with the water/meth kit. i just was not sure if this should be done before the headers and the timing chaines

with 11 lbs w/out a cooler i would prob get it, but why not get an intercooler? a lil more expensive but its well worth it. more gains + a lil more assurance. headers arent really a neccesity, it just adds sound and allows the engine to breath easier.

Do you have an auto or 5 speed.
If you have an auto NOW is a good time for a trans cooler. OMG you have a powedyne too!?!?!?!?! What pulley are you running to get 11lbs? Also did you do the rebuild? Which supercharger do you have? I have the bd600

i just droped my car off the other day to have my pi swap w/cams , fuel injectors and mam but now due to the cams i'm using(comp cams 270 AH) they informed me that i will need a stall converter($900) cooler($65) and labor ($550) and thats about $1500 over my budget. i honestly did not plan on doing this this soon so now i'm trying to find a way to do the work i droped it off for and a little later save an do the converter but i don't have a clue what to do now i realy dont want swap the cams back to the stock pi's but i don't want to pick up the car and have it stalling out on me all the time. it's always something...
