Bolt on, npi's have been known to do mid to high 14's at 5800feet above sea level.

a typical bolton, coupe, 5 speed, full weight, full npi car will go about 14.2 at sea level on street tires if it has the driver mod.

you need at least a decent summer-only tire with 4.10s. i have to be surgical on my launch to not spin everything to the ground even with some extreme summer 255/45 meats (essentially nitto 555 knockoffs) and my 4.10s. and thank you for being honest thumbie, a lot of people arent willing to admit that. fwiw, the best drivers are also the worst on their trannies, and (like me) are probably going to have to replace or rebuild them a lot sooner than a less hard driver.

doing a little burnout helps a little no matter what tire you got. Those 10 second standstills however....save for drag radials. and dont drive through the water. and holy jesus 315 is a FAT tire

sounds like youre running something cheap. if its above 60* out, my 255's hook just fine, albeit burning half of 2nd gear off if i powershift, and a huge bark into 3rd.

i would fix that before you drag race, that could cause a huge acident, think if that fornt joint broke at 80mph and dropped down and jammed in the track it would either destroy the car and or flip you over lol. i would take car of that

I ran a 14.7 on some Nitto's, 4.10's, pulleys, BBK 78mm Throttle body and intake plenum, and the SCT Livewire.
