Cookie Needs Help! :)

Hey Y'all!! I Hope ya can help me.

When I was given my LIL' Red Addiction, my Cherry Pie I noticed the odometer & of course the tripometer was not working, so who cares- right? Well the other thing I noticed ( besides the fact that the entire front end needed rebuilding) was that when I put foot to ass at 40mph she would make a THDTHDTHDTHD sound (roll your tongue). Of course this is when OD should kick in, and she seemed to be catchin' Well now either OD is permanently on, or gone for good...so is the sound...

Diagnostics, suggestions, & experiences accepted....

only does it around 40mph??? check your trans fluid, change the filter. are you sure the ththththththt was coming from the trans?? if so it could of been a solenoid that got stuck.

I am having the same problem with the odometer in one of mine. The speed sensor sends a signal to the odometer and I was told that could be it. I checked it out and everything looks fine on it so I am going to swap it with one from one of the other cars that I know works. If that still doesn't fix it then ican rule that out. There is also a worm gear inside the cluster that goes bad and there is a kit to replace it. I didn't think it was that because I swapped out the cluster and still had the problem. Unfortunately, I got the replacement cluster off ebay so i can't be positive it worked on the replacement.

I REALLY hate that crap!!
I don't think that has anything to do with the overdrive though...

Most likely the worm gear in the speedo for ur trip problems. Expensive lil bastards too. $25 a gear

I would imagine the two are totaly unrelated problems.
