can i reuse my cams
ok heres my dillema i have a cracked head now everyone has told me to do a pi swap and i cant find a used set anywhere but i can however buy some new 1's from autozone for 240 a piece where my heads are 440 a piece so can i buy the pi heads and use my cams timing chain and cam gears also intake without any problems or is this just a stupid idea and should keep looking i cant aford to buy cams and tuner now or should i get the heads from american muscle to the price of 1,300 and keep my mouth shut and reuse my cams i am totally confused on what i need to do !!! thanks for all your replies in advance !!! sorry for any spelling errors my typing and spelling both suck..

im not 100% sure, but im pretty sure your going to need the cams also, i purchased the trick flow heads and im 100% pleased with them. if you want hp go with the trickflow, you are able to reuse some parts, so you dont need to buy anything else but the heads.(comes assembled, with cam, sprockets, etc.) well worth the investment and you dont have modify crap.

The pi cams make a big difference as well as the intake.

thats about the cheapest youll get brand new. and yes you can reuse your cams, modularheadshop.com sells pi cams though for $60. if youre swapping to pi heads, do yourself a favor and at least do pi cams and a pi intake at the same time. all of the timing components will swap over.
a better option is at least some custom cams also from modularheadshop or comp cams, or whatever. the pi intake is fine for your power level though.
