that sure is one crazy way to splice two wires together. Never heard of that method. Learn somethin new every day, thanks

I believe that you would have to take off the part of the dash under your steering column and then there will be a metal plate that you will need to take off then just look for the wires that are leading to your ignition cylinder and use those wires. Here are the wires that you will be looking for. 12volts constant (for memory)- Yellow wire at ignition harness Ignition (if you want your guages to come on whenever you start the car) - Tan/White at ignition harness Parking lights (if you want your guages to only come on when you turn on your lights) - Brown behind drivers kick panel (make sure you test the wire) __________________ Proud Member of the Mid-Atlantic Cobra Association
