98 cobra 4.6 4v imrc deleting
has anyone ever deleted the intake manifold runnrrs. i have started what is the ups and downs of doing this and what all do you need to do besides reprogramming. thanks for any advise

I have done many cleaning and replacing of parts on Cobra for the IMRC's. But decided against the deleteing. I have a 97 and i decided to just replace the runners and the controller because it was bad. I first cleaned them but it didnt fix, so i had to replace the controller so i just replaced the runners as well.
I have done the entire job you are doing now about 6 times. So if you need help just ask. But as for deleting, i decided not to do it because its my dads car and hes an old man and doesnt have the need to get a programmer and program it out. But i guess its youre choice.

you might lose a little bottom end torque for that extra hp.a set of gears
would compensate

I have deleted my runners too, now i still have to reprogram. I am new at this, and what do I have to buy to reprogram ,and how.
