I'm purchasing a 97 gt conv soon, well maintained and in good condition but I'm not a fan of automatic transmissions. I was looking for some tips/how-to's on swapping the transmission with a manual.

1) Manual transmission, should I trust used ones from junkyards? Or look for them at auto parts stores?

2) Current list of parts needed: shifter, shifter console, linkages, new gearing, clutch pedal, clutch assembly?, do I need anything else?

3) I have found some guides on auto to manual swapping but nothing made for the 97 gt specifically, if anyone knows where I can find a guide for that I would appreciate it.

youll need a flywheel,dowels,quadrant(aftermarket),clutch cable,pedals,fork,etc.
if you get one from the jy its gonna be hit or miss.try D&D performance
