Need help deciding...
Alright I have a 96 GT w/ the mods summed up in my sig. It does good for a NPI GT, real good, but I want more. It currently has 88XXX on the clock but runs perfect. No problems w/ any powertrain components at all. Now my question is should I keep the GT and look at the PI swap/supercharger route or part ways and look into a Cobra? I mean if the overall condition of my car was bad then it would be hands down Cobra time, but my car is immaculate in every aspect and runs perfect. What do you guys think?

WELL YOUVE GOT A NICE ONE NOW SO I WOULD SAY GO AHEAD AND DO THE PI SWAP WITH A S/C. YOUVE GOT A NICE CAR AND IT WOULD BE CHEAPER TO GO THE COBRA ROUTE AND WOULD SAVE THE SVAE THE HASSLE OF HAVING TO FIND A COBRA! BUT YOU DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY AND WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.

Cobra..... im doing the same thing. I live in NH, and its very hard to come by one. But i can wait

Only with a 03 cobra, because with a super charger you ouvbiously want a faster car and those cobra's have 390hp. Idk what ur numbers are now but i'd go with a cobra.

Get a forged motor, PI swap, blower, and save the rest for tires cause your gonna need em
![]() Don't get me wrong, the blown Cobra's are nice but you could keep your car, save half the money, and kick their ass. Use the rest on a nice Saleen type body kit IMO and have a nicer looking ride too. |

Joe i didnt think you were a sucker for the SN-95 Saleens as well ? Thats my plans. Picture my car... White beautiful, but find that body line at the top of the car and paint the top half black..... Add some black bullit wheels and some deep dish black bullits with chrome lips.... and the Saleen S-351 body kit.............. OH DEAR LORD thats a sexy car.....
But the terminators are HOTT too. haha. But i like the Sn-95s the best! Cant beat that look. Forged block, PI swap, and Blower. Add some radials and you think he could sweep the floor with a KB Cobra or even a procharged with a shot >? I dont think so. I think the point i was making when i said get the cobra.... everything is already there for you to start off with. Personally i would rather have a 03-04 cobra where i live becasue no one has one... one guy on here has one where i live. . .. But i mod my cars So if i had one i would make it screw...And have the fastest car around. Not too hard to beat where i live. Just my personal thoughts.

I say drop a forged rotating assembly stroked and adjusted so your compression is not too high after the PI swap, blower cam, behive springs, upgrade your fuel system, KB 2.2 and turn it up! Hell yes, he'd smoke a Cobra...if he could get the power down!!!
