I have heard nothing bad about them all, but I am going to go with the Steeda once I have the money.

I have the steeda tri-ax in my 97 Cobra and I love it, nice tight shifting and two settings based on if you want the shortest throw or little longer throw.

well i got a upr shifter right now. I had it in my 90 lx before i got the 97gt and i dont remember having any problems with it in that car. So i got to thinking in the 90 lx i had a upr firewall adjuster and steeda quadrant, but the 97 is stock plastic, im thinking that grinding 2nd might be because the stock stuff keeps the clutch engaging about 1-1.5 inches off the floor and with the adjustable stuff i kept my clutch about middle ways so that i wouldnt have to push the clutch all the way to the floor when shifting. Opinons welcome here. Should i get the adjustable stuff or try another shifter.

Do both, the shifter will make you a really happy man. I would do the shifter then the adjustable stuff once you get enough money for them. The shifter will feel so much better than what you have.

In a way I hate to buy another shifter "right now" since I have one, and have the same problem then be out the money. Then buy adjustable stuff and that fix the problem. Kinda damned if I do and damned if I dont situation here.

Well then buy the adjust able stuff and see if it fixes it. And then when the funds come in buy a different shifter, even if the problem has been fixed.

Used to have the Steeda Tri-Ax on my 98 GT and it was great! Liked the "click" feeling going into each gear. Got a Mach 1 now and might have to give either Hurst or MGW a try. Which is better?

It's just a personal preference thing. if you like the notchy feeling of the tri-ax then go with that. that's what i have but iv' been thinking about trying out an MGW.
