I am off work tomorrow so...
I might try an fab up that heat shield for us guys who took the air filter housing off. I just want opinions from you guys. So check the POLL!
I know I want to try and make it contour to the bottom of the hood so that it is pretty snug and blocks the engine heat while trapping in incoming cooler air. I know Im gonna use either some old weather stripping or some rubber heater hose split down the middle then mounted on top of the shield like the aftermarket ones to seal on the bottom of the hood. Plus Im thinking plastic, it should disapate heat quicker than a sheet metal type.

The metal will hold heat is and the plastic will do a better job to repel heat.
