Cruise Control Question

I recently bought my 98 Mustang GT and I absolutely love it! I got it from the 2nd owner who told me it was "loaded" (leather, power everything, ...) and it was completely stock. However, the other day when I got on the freeway, I realized my Mustang doesn't have cruise control!!

Does anyone know if there a way to install cruise control (perhaps from another Mustang) in mine? I know you can buy "generic" cruise control kits, but I don't want something cheap or goofy looking. Any tips would be appreciated.

Welcome to MM first off. Where abouts in Oregon are you?

Huh, I woulda thought all stangs (96-98) with the leather interior (or "loaded" as you said) would have had cruise control. Mine did.

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome! I'm located in Corvallis, Oregon. (Go Beavs!) Yeah, I was pretty surprised to see that it wasn't included. Sounds like ripping one of another Mustang would be quite a pain, so maybe I'll start looking around for generic kits. Thanks!

yes there is a fuse. check the fuse box under the searing wheel. if you dont have a owners manual pull em all n check them all. it never hurts to check all of them. good luck.

HAHAHA... yeah, I'm not real worried about it around town. But I have a feeling that "lead foot" will make an appearance the first time I go for a long trip on the freeway!
