sounds highpitched check front sway bar bushings, lower control arm bushings. you can take your sway bar off clean the bar and bushings with soap and water make sure you put lots of grease back on the bushings....

my front end creeks also, I think mine is coming primarily from the passenger side of the car. When I replaced the front springs - it is obvious I need to replace lower ball joints, because dust boots were all but gone.

The prime spot for creaking from the front end is the lower ball joints.

Happened to me on the Cobra, then again my car would drift all over the place without turning the wheel. After replacing control arms and bushings all seemed right in the world again. But I replaced the ball joints while I had the time.

As long as your car isn't drifting without moving the wheel I'd think it's the ball joints.

I found out that I can be sitting there and turn my wheel back nd forth and it creaks. So I am about to go check things out. Now can i replace it myself oor would I need a mechanic. The haynes repair manual says take the control arm off and go get it pressed out and the new one pressed in.

If it making a creeking sound when you turn the wheel I would check the strut mounts. I just put new struts in mine and it made horrible creaking noise afterwards, turns out my strut mount on the passengers side is shot. have someone turn the wheel while you watch the strut mount under the hood, if its moving around alot or if the strut spindle is turning then its the strut mount.

good idea with the strut mount. And im probably just going to replacee the ball joints tomorrow so that way they are done with. Are the oe replacements from my auto store good for my car, its lowered on eibach springs and struts? Does anyone know if I can get both ball joints with grease fittings?

I got the mount kit from advanced auto, its the Monroe kit for $33, anything has to be better than worn 13yr old bushings. Are you getting any shake in the steering wheel when braking? thats another sign of the strut mount

you can upgrade to a set of Steeda X2 Ball joints. They will will help correct the geometry from being lowered.

the steering rack bushings can be a trouble spot too, the sleeve of the bushing is sometimes too long, Kcliffy did a write up on mustangforums.com about it. Could be few things though, most like a grease issue though... Just grease everything that you can and see if it persists.

So I got under the car and the ball joint seemed good. However, the outer tie rod end was shot. So today I replaced it, drove it, and......still creaking. So its back to the ball joint idea. Does anyone knoe about how long I have til it breaks? I dont have time nor the press to do it right away.
