I HATE the previous own of my car.

This guy was a moron. Grade A idiot. One of these people that never should be allowed to own wrenches. He installed 3.73 gears on my 96 GT and when he did he never bothered to set the back lash and tore all the carrier bearings and the pinion bearing up. He put Ford Racing shorty headers on, and NEVER tightened the bolts so it blew all the gaskets out. When he put the rear end back in the car he tightened the bolts so tight, even heating them up they wouldn't come off. And now hes done this. This pissed me off the most. A 20 min job, left my car sitting and useless for a couple of days.

I pulled this out of number 4 cylinder. Of course the heads are messed up now. So i went to retap the hole and found this...

Not only did he cross thread the head once, but he put a heli-coil in and then CROSS THREADED the heli-coil. What a moron.

That's why I always change all the easy stuff when I get a new car. Usually within the first 2-3 weeks I change the oil, antifreeze, diff fluid, plugs, wires (if applicable), air filter, and fuel filter. Then I have record of when everything was replaced. But it also lets me see how well the car was serviced.

How do you have the plugs in the wrong spot? I thought plugs were universal to which cylinder they went it.

Wow, must have been a dumbass. I guess I am one of the lucky ones, mine was all stock with nothing wrong but an unplugged abs wire and a need for some new headlights when I got it.

That does suck but part of the fun with these cars is fixing them. I think the only moving parts in my car that are still original are the trans and rear end, My buds say that i have the newest 97 GT on the planet
