Gear swap...
Considering swapping in some OEM Ford gears when I do my t-lok clutches and I got a couple questions. I'm familar with the 8.8 as I have swapped carriers in the past and I've done a bunch of homework on the DIY gear swap but a couple things aren't clear to me.
I plan on using a standard crush sleeve, so pinion spacing should be fairly simple. What I'm curious about is how simple it is/is not to replace the inner pinion bearing race or if its easier just to swap the bearing to the 'new' gears? What tools are needed, or is this best to just find a shop to press on/off? Another related question: Does anybody know if the fluid specs for the carbon clutches is the same as the traditional clutches? Thanks!

yes the fluid is the same, just make sure u use friction modifier.
the tools needed are a torque wrench, gear pullers, 27mm socket for the pinion nut and a 8mm wrench. a magnet helps also |
