The intake obviously and the fuel system.. I know if you use a 98 cobra engine and swap it into a sn95 gt that you can use the same ecu becausethe firing order and all is the same. I am unsure about the eaton on a 98 engine but you would need a tune and new fuel system. I don't want to give you bad info so search around and find someone wh has done this. I would guess that you would need the 03 fuel system and intake parts but other then that there shouldnt be alot od differece. Ceck on the ECU though because you might require a terminator ecu..

well you would have alot of work to do lol.

1st being the older cobras have completely different cylinder heads. so aside from the eaton, you are gonna need the newer C heads/cams from a 99/01 cobra or an 03/04 mach 1, and who knows what else to get them installed on your block. then you will need all the junk associated with an eaton swap. the blower, the lower manifold for the blower, the heat exchanger, all the water lines (its alot of little parts lol)

the 96-98 cobra motors are great for boost. i would personally get a good centri blower for it or else a turbo. they are high revving engines and make lots of power up top!

Go ahead and launch on street tires with a kb against a centri and watch his tail lights while you are trying to hook up.

If you are on slicks at the track then kb or whippled is the way to go! But on the street centri's own.

i would get the 98 cobra motor and swap that into your car. that is a real easy swap then get a centri blower for it and call it a day.

if you plan to keep your 2v engine in your 96 i would look for PI heads/intake if you dont already have those.
i hear good things about probe pistons and manley rods for our 4.6's.
you can get a forged cobra crank used for real cheap but not sure how much machine work will cost if it needs any.

Just did a full pi swap but I need more power or should I say I want more power. So a cobra crank will fit on my gt block? how about tha robs and if so what type of piston should i use dish or flat cause I'm going wit procharger. I heard cobra rods r forged is that correct?

the cobra crankshaft will fit.
the only cobra rods that came from the factory forged were the 03/04 cobras. they actually got manley rods right out of the box.

with what you have now, you should be at 10:1 compression or more. depending on power/boost levels you may want to drop down to like a 9:1 or 9.5:1 for a blower set-up so a dished piston would probably get you that.

I don't mean an actual launch like at the track but anytime you take off pedaling or not in a race it is still a launch..
