Speedo Goes Crazy After 3 rpm!!! HELP!
Hi guys just joined today i have never had this problem till yesterday i was leaving the Mustang meet. when i got to the freeway i got on it and suddenly my Light when off and came back on after a while. But not only that my speedometer went all crazy Battery Light Went up and everything in it got really bright! my Temp jumps up voltmeter Went off the scale!
Has any one else had this problem? its still doing it today only when i go above 3k RPM and i dont even need to punch it  Im gonna upload a Video on youtube then ill put the URL |

Here is the Video Of My Car Being a Bitch my Temp is good by the way just goes up when this Happens!
Oh Yeah and at night well well the whole Speedo Turns Really Bright and my HEad lights turn Of i got HID on them |

the headlights going off is prolly your alternator or your hid are grounding themselves out some place. and the speedo sounds like you have a broken speedo gear. i cant get you a link right now but just google 1997 mustang GT speedometer gear and you will find the part its about 5-15 dollars and easy to install yourself. just have to know the size of your rear end gears. but before that i would check ALL your wiring. because you hids might be shorting out and causing the electrical side of your speedo (the ldimmer light) to go nuts like that.

Okay cool ill make sure to check my Hid out but this all started when i install the O/R H-pipe i never had this problem. but ill check the Cables. And ill look into that gear
If i get it Fix ill make sure to let everyone know here in case someone else has this problem in the future! Thanks |
