4.6 Windsor P.I. motor

So the dude I bought my car from has a 4.6 Windsor P.I. motor that came out of a 2000 Gt, it has 68k mile on it. He is selling it to me for $100 but it has a damaged cylinder head and camshaft on one of the sides. I would need to use the 8 bolt flywheel and front accessories from a 1999-2000 GTto properly put this engine in my car. I was just wondering if this would be a wise decision down the road, I have a 100k on my car now, and would swap them out when/if this engine dies out on me.

Yeah, ill get it and just stick it in garage till it comes to use. It wont go bad sitting in there, be a nice backup I think. And its a PI engine, pretty cool. I would just need to replace the cylinder head and camshaft and ill be good.

For 100 bucks buy it.

Get some junkyard PI heads for 40 bucks.

repair the motor.

Drop it into your car and you'll gain 40hp off the bat

Buy it, part it out, take the profit and buy some good p.i. heads.

good idea, im going to check it out again this weekend, see what I can part out. the engine spun a rod bearing, and the bearing material trashed a cylinder head and camshaft, not to serious though. He said the cylinders and pistons looked good, and is totally rebuildable. he bought a new Ford connecting rod to replace the one that had spun the bearing too
