Removing front sway bar

So today Im thinking about removing my front sway bar and see how I like it before I go to the track next week, Have any of you guys done this before? And keep in mind I use my car every day to and from work, so I wouldn't want to sacrifice daily driving. I know it will help distribute the weight to the rear and improve launches but will it make the car feel odd when cornering? Any input or advice will be appreciated.

My wife's end link broke one day while I was driving her speedster. It felt like I was steering a boat. It kinda " floated " alot. It may be different with the entire bar removed but it totally sucked with one side attached.

yeah..I am a little hesitant. I could always throw it back on, but I think that I will just be disappointed.

Well, it's not hard to remove so I would just do it and see how you like the results.

Is it just as easy to put back in ? Most of the time things are easy to take off but when trying to put them back on...well thats a different story lol. But I will go home and jack her up and see for myself.

That's funny, I find the opossite to be true. Taking of something that has been on the car for 13/14 years can be a real pita. Putting on the replacement usually goes pretty smooth for me.

I agree with Sharkbait
With the swaybar removed it will allow the front to move more freely but handling will sucka$$

handling will blow...also its almost impossible to do with just a jack to put back in. I replaced mine with the eibach one on jack stands and it took me and my dad a couple hours of swaring at it before it went in...haha

If you have all of the right tools it is fairly easy to do on jack stands. I just put in Steeda front and rear and it took about 2 hours to change both. Of course it depends on how much rust etc. you have to deal with.
