So I switched my brake switch and my brake lights still don't work. Any ideas??

ok i have had this problem on my 04 sixxer and my sister 04 sixxer...and i can only guess it'll happen on my 04 GT sooner or later....let me guess all three brake lights are out...the fuse was good so you replaced the switch on the brake...well been there done that...turned out to be the little box that plugs into the switch...its that little box that has two wires going into it...turned out in both situations i had the box has a wire fried inside of it...

you can do 1 of two things...the first being the worst way...remove the box...cut the wires so you can splice back in later...take the box apart (4 sec's with a knife) and put the wire back in place...splice the box back in and there you go

or two...this being the best fix...remove the box like before...only this time crimp female ends onto the two exposed wires under the dash (the same female ends used for any automotive electricle)..now just slide the female ends onto the male ends that used to slide into the box...this fix not only takes care of the first issue of no lights but also prevents it from happening again
