i was wondering if you guys could help me make this decision. my friend is wanting to sell me a 1996 ford mustang gt for 1250 and the only things missing is it needs a new headlight cover and new drivers side mirror... but the worst part about it is that the key is stuck in the ignition and is snapped off and i do not know how to get it out or what i need to replace because without it the car will not start and it has good motor and good tranny other than the key. could someone help me with this situation please? and to theplace the key it will cost around 250-300 bucks and i belive that it would be well worth it expecially after a tune up i would just like you guys opinion on the situation if you dont mind taking time to help me out please.

yes but before helost the chip it would run and to start it he would haveto get a knife and turn it that was so it grinded it down and now its lodged inthere and basically impossibleto get out withouth taking the tumbler out and stuff

i do believe i am buyting it and getting the ignition fixed.. causeeither way blue book in moderate condition is 2.8k and this is in good condition so i do believe a steal it is.. unless theres things that could be unnoticeable? how many of those factors could their be?

Remove the key cylinder and replace it with another one. You will have to get the pats reprogrammed to match the new key but it is well worth the cost considering the price / value of the car.
