There are radar scramblers that will work, but they only run on 400hz.

Just be cool and polite. All depends on how good the copper is feeling that day, and if you are courteous and polite to tell you the truth. I work with a bunch of cool dudes, but sadly there are also many cops i know that turn into serious dicks once they put on their uniform.

The 8500 is good, definitely a hell of a lot better than any cobra...but I'm a Valentine dude myself.

REMEMBER:

Watch out for instant-on. Don't speed without a "rabbit".

A radar detector with laser detection will not save you from a laser ticket 95% of the time laser is being used. When it goes off, they have your speed, except in the very rare cases in which you pick up scatter, or the operator just sucks at using the laser gun. So...just be aware of what information an RD can give you, the limitations, know that it is NOT a form of laser defense. Be safe, smart, and you probably won't get a ticket.
