Ok I thought the same added two more quarts, still nothing. A little worried now because the engine I took out had a crack in the coolant portion of the intake which ruined the old engine.

Ok any suggestions. What I mean is this has the new style intake with the aluminium crossover for coolant, it's not leaking it or burning it.

whats gran-it mean?

anyways i think i interpreted your post and it seems like since you have a deeper oil pan dont they usually take 7+ quarts??? i would check with the company you bought it from and see what the oil capacity is on the deeper pan.

as well you most likely will have to get a longer dipstick from the same company

hope it helped a tiny bit

hmm, how do i explain gran-it...it's kind of like saying " now, it DOES have a canton oil pan, and stock dipstick"

thats my best interpretation, but you can really explain it, its just something you say.

Yes the oil pick up is stock. but my problem is worse. Although my idiot gauge says I have oil pressure the is not reaching my heads. It just gets better n better. So we are hoping for maybe a restriction at the oil filter or maybe a plug missing from behind the front cover. Anybody else had this problem?

Maybe a new thread?
