What motor should I put in my 97 mustang!

Hey everyone I am new to this site and I am kind of winging it. I have a 97 mustang and I need some help picking a motor I want to put in it. Money is no option really I live at home and make pretty good money. So I am really looking for some advise on this matter.

Do you want a motor you can build to high hp or just a 300 rwhp power plant?

96-98 cobra, idk any 4V

if money is no problem, then build up an 03-04 cobra motor. i myself more realistically plan on a pi longblock if my motor goes pop

What do you have a 97 GT or Cobra? If you have a GT get a stroker short block Alluminum or steel (Forged internals) and TFS Heads or Ported heads, some nice cams and SC it or Turbo it.

If You have a Cobra keep the Teksid block get a stroked rotating assembly (Forged) Port the heads some nice cams, and SC it or Turbo it.

Sorry about that I have a 96 gt dont let the user name throw you off sorry about that. Guys I am really pushing towards a 03-04 cobra motor I am just very new at all this and Kind of finally got the money to get into this hobbie/ love for mustangs. But if i go with the 03-04 cobra motor what else would I need to get my car ready to put in this crate cobra motor.

What he said. keep your 2v if that what you have. I would not do a 4v if my car is a 2v. If you want to do somethimg big, than put a 351 motor in there!TFS Heads or Ported Ford heads, a big cams and SC it or Turbo it

+2, What I've been hearing 2011 5.0 Coyote motors are going for around $6500 complete, just need to get the 2011 computer and such.

N/A DOHC 5.4 Liter with independent throttle bodies, running E85 and a shit load of compression controlled by a stand alone engine management system! GO!
