Forged rods and pistons under a grand?

I am looking for some forged rods and pistons for under a grand. Anyone have any suggestions on what kind to buy, or know of any for sale used?

Check out propowerperformance on Ebay. They sell a kit with forged rods and pistons with a variety of dish sizes for around that price. They also include rings with the kits.

Thanks for the reply speaking of eBay their is a "Saleen Stroker kit I have been looking at on there. Anyone know if it's any good says it has a Kellogg forged crank and Manley rods I am not sure what kind of pistons though. I found one similar here, but this is the one w/o the pistons. Anyone familiar with it? Is it worth the money, I don't plan on putting in a turbo until next summer but when I do I want what ever I put in to hold at least 650 hp. Ford 4.6 302 Engine Upgrade Kit 3.800" stroker 5.850" : eBay Motors (item 110581260734 end time Nov-01-10 10:14:44 PDT)

Hi I have heard the H beams are a bit better but I will definitely get the arp 2000 bolts with whatever I get I don't mind to buy used either just looking for a decent deal.

2000's are nice, but most people that have them dont need them. personally, i have never used a 2000 series bolt in anything, never had a failure.

contact MMR, they have pretty good prices on forged rotating assemblies.
