i don't know exactly what you'll need, but i know it can cost 8-10 grand. depending on what you are going to do and what you will have to get done.

Hi you kinda seem to be in the same boat as I am trying to figure out what is best for you here's the conclusion I came to. Now I have already done a complete pi swap and every bolt on mod there is but I am still not satisfied sooo. 1 Buy a used aluminum Cobra block -300-600.00 2. Buy a good set of new, or slightly used forged internals 700-2500.00 depending on what you want my opinion is plan for the future now, assuming you'll want more HP down the rd, and you won't regret it later. 3. Buy a used turbo or super charger-1500-????.00 depending again on your needs regardless 3000-6000.00 should get you a great set up, and most of the work you can do yourself.
If you go with a complete 03-04 cobra motor your probably going to need the T56 tranny to go with it as well as column, speedo, ECM, I am not sure what else you will need I am sure it will nickle and dime you to death though.

Easiest and cheapest route = selling your car and buying a Termi.

another option - find a blower-less 32 valve motor (Mach1, Earlier cobra, or Lincoln motor) - an improvement, but not yet a termi and likely could be had for way less than $8k.
