How can i tell if my intake is p.i

How can i tell if my 98 gt's intake is p.i? the guy i bought it from said the intake manifold had a crack in it and got it replaced. Im just wondering if he put a p.i one on. how can you tell without taking it off?

Well I'm gonna take a blind swing at this if it was p,I tht means the heads must also be p.I... I'm assuming its the same thing like a single port v6 vs a multi pport v6...u cnt jus slap a mulitpor upperintake on a single port engiine....lol

totally wrong manifold. ok what u wanna do is look into the v of your motor from outside. its to the bottom right of ur alternator, if u see a metal bar looking thing on the right side then its a p.i. intake. if there is none in there its non p.i.
you may also be able to look up the numbers

not sure about outside appearance. just pop the intake off and look at the ports. not a bit deal or hard to do either.

ehh, he could mess stuff up. i know when i just did it, i had to replace orings cause it made it leak

mess stuff up??? he might have to change gaskest if he's not careful, but thats about it. i had my intake manifold off several times, never had to replace anything.

op: look at your intake, if it looks like this:

then its a non pi intake manifold. note how the first intake runner goes to the passenger side.
if your intake looks like this:

then it is a pi intake manifold. note how the first intake runner goes to the drivers side.

that all being said - i highly doubt you have a pi intake.

You should look into an HPS intake manifold if you have alot of spare cash.

Lol i could of bought another car with the money i have sunk into mine.

I could spray a 9000 shot of nitrous @ 100rpm while pouring fuel into the intake and that bitch would be the only part of the motor intact.
