suspension question

i know you are suppose to put this in the suspension thread but noone has answered anything since 2008 but i just rotated my two front tires and found that the outside edge and inside edge of my tires are bald with cracks going around the tires where the tread edge ends. im curious as to what could be causing this. just had it alighned a year ago and it went out of wack in like a month. didnt really think anything of it till i rotated them. any help would be appreciated

wearing on both the inner and outer edge of the tires is due to under-inflation or lack of tire rotation. so another words go check the air pressure nad rotate them every 5-6000 miles

I hope you are not using a directional tire. You cannot rotate from side to side without dismounting the tires from the rim. Check your tires for an arrow. If they have an arrow pointing one way that is the only direction they are supposed to traverl regularly. ( Of course, driving in reverse is minimal and not a problem. ) If you are running them backwards they will get screwed up.

directional in rear i know all about them and have been getting them rotated off the rims to another rim. the front ones are the stock tires that come on a 07 gt. the issue im having is the front tires. they are wearing on the ousides back and front and cracking around where the tread ends. it doesnt hold alighnment for long for some reason. i have a 2001 windsor engine thats built in it and i asked someone if the weight from that motor would do it and they said no. if you can text me and ill take some pics 276 340 2955

your tire wear issues could be several different things.
positive camber wears on the outside
negative camber wears on the inside
toe in wears on the outside
toe out wears on the inside
ball joints, hub bearings and tie rod ends all need to be good and tight.
if they are faulty, it can cause various alignment issues.
i work at firestone complete auto care as a technician and do several alignments.
always if you get an alignment, go ahead and pay extra for a lifetime.
that way anytime you do any mods or replace any suspension parts, you get it re-aligned for free.

Sometimes it is worth it to see an expert. Whatever is wrong, it will more than likely cost you less to have fixed than to continue buying tires prematurely.
