I'm putting on a set of 5.4 PI heads on my car right now. Damn, it's a lot of work. Anyway... I paid $700 shipped for the heads, cams, intake manifold with polished aluminum crossover, new valve springs, new Melling oil pump, new water pump, FRPP head changing kit, and every gasket needed for the complete swap (all Ford parts) including all extra bolts and everything. I got all of that from the same person at the smae time; that's why I got that good of a deal... Now you see PI heads, cam, and intake manifolds going for as little as $300.

I wouldnt pay more than 400 bucks for the heads and the cams! The lower milage on those make it worth a little more, but not that much more!
