i am running ford C springs which lower just over an inch (a subtle drop that doesnt hinder driveability too much). the front end tire gap is much much less than stock, and the rear sits a little higher than the front but lower than stock. i have stock shocks/struts and i paid 139.99 shipped for the springs

so basically what you are saying is that i wont need to get new struts prolly? Well that would be cool cuz i dont wanna spend to much on the suspension. I think that ill prolly go with eibach sports or bbk springs.

with a subtle 1" FRPP C spring drop you dont need anything except an alignment. c/c plates would get you a perfect alignment but i am within a half degree.

anything bigger, c/c plates will be needed to get alignment in specs and shocks and struts will be needed or yours will wear faster

I have H&R super sports, Tokico 5 way adjustable shocks, and MM camber/caster plates. Lowered my Mach about 1.5" - 1.75". Improved the look and stance. The pic in my sig was prior to lowering.

i have the tokico advanced handling kit (HPK237), that included the HP series shocks/struts and matched 1.5 drop springs for about $450 shipped, then added MAC c/c plates to obtain the needed wheel caster camber

A buddy of mine with a 97 Cobra ordered that kit and was very happy with it. That is about 1/2 what I paid for my setup.

I am happy too, the HP's are not adjustable's like the illumina's, but the kit, a rear sway bar from a '93 gt and my caster camber settings did wonders on the autoX course for my 6'er... I love slaming corners now.

my c/c settings;
Toe In: 1/16"
Camber: -1°
Caster: +1.6°

from personal experience if u are lowering ure car i would get new shocks since u have high mileage and dropping the car will just put lot of stress on those old worn shocks i have ford racing c springs and kyb it doesn't have a crazy drop 7/8 in front 1/2 in rear and good ride quality
